Available to you

With this Dominica Ethnic Nature Hike you will explore the entire southern half of the Dominica island on the Waitukubuli National Trail.

  • We have planned for you, the trails of the South coast 1,2 and 3 then unto the famous Boiling Lake with its valley of the Desolation that any hiker coming to Dominica must do. Then discover the Territory of the Kalinago Indians, starting from the end of the segment 6, to arrive at the residence of “Irvince and Louisette”  Touna Auté village.
  • Day 7 will be a bit exceptional as you will make a small immersion into the life of a Kalinago family. Louisette speaks fluent English & French, Irvince, not so much French but his naughty little smiles will help you to understand.
  • You will come across farming villages and of course, you will see root crops as well as fruits and vegetables, cocoa and coffee and even flowers and medicinal plants. You will sometimes hear Reggae tunes.

We have certified the quality of the food with a hearty breakfast and a diner sometimes accompanied with a “ti Punch”. When we make camp (Day 1 & Day 2), you will sleep in a 3-4-person Vaude tent with Thermarest Dream base camp mattresses. Day 4 and Day 5 you will be in cozy inns with very good food, the pot of chili is always available but not too spicy.
